Perfect Dental attended Sickle Cell Association Walk
On Saturday, September 23rd the Greated Boston Sickle Cell Association Inc. organized the event to raise money and bring awareness, educational and research about the disease to the community at large. With over 500 people in attendance the event was held at Franklin Park.
September is Sickle Cell Awareness month that's why the walk is held each September and is the biggest fundraiser for the association. This disease is a group of blood disorders typically inherited from a person's parents. People with this disorder have atypical hemoglobin molecules called hemoglobin S, which can distort red blood cells into a sickle, or crescent, shape.
Perfect Dental is committed to community dental education and promoting healthy dental habits. Our goal is to educate children of all ages about the need for good oral hygiene, healthy food choices and regular dental visits in order to prevent dental disease.
